Letter to the editor: Democrats, Republicans all human beings

Letter-writer Bob McBride (“Democrats, not MAGAs, are threat to society,” Sept. 26, TribLIVE) states that he is “a MAGA Republican — probably ultra-MAGA. But definitely more MAGA than Republican.” Well, Mr. McBride, admitting that you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

You continue on with a litany of complaints against a who’s who of targets for the ultra right wing, somehow even linking teachers’ unions and drag queens to “killings, explosions, burning, looting and destruction.”

Bob, if I may address you as such, I suggest that you venture away from the bustling metropolis that is West Deer and meet some people who aren’t exactly like yourself. Maybe then you will see their humanity, and see that they have many of the same wants, hopes and dreams that you have. And then maybe, just maybe, you’ll stop hating them so much.
