Letter to the editor: Dems’ uproar over Roe v. Wade ridiculous

I have watched the Democrats with a degree of humor over the leaked abortion ruling, but Suzie Morris’ letter “Women, vote while you’re still allowed” (May 17, TribLIVE) is an example of just how utterly ridiculous Democrats have become. She starts with sarcasm, then uses insults to make her point, criticizing state legislators as “impotent, overweight, unhealthy (both physically and morally) white men.” She further delves off the deep end by stating that women should vote “while you are still allowed.”

I would bet that Morris, like the majority of Democrats, didn’t even read the leaked document. The presumably forthcoming decision does not outlaw abortion; it sends it back to where it should have been, to the states. The Supreme Court does not make law. It interprets law to determine whether it is constitutional.

And for Morris to make a comment regarding being morally unhealthy, I would put the pro-life people’s moral judgment up to hers anytime. But I beg the left to keep traveling down the morally bankrupt road.
