Letter to the editor: Dereliction of duty at our border

The writer of the letter “Trump was derelict in his duties regarding Jan. 6” (Jan. 23, TribLive): If we want to honestly talk about dereliction of duty, have you been paying attention to the southern border? That is a true dereliction of duty under President Biden.

I will give you some predictions. After next January, when President Trump is back in office, all of a sudden we will be in a recession, something we’ve been in for eight months but no one can talk about it. At some point during his second term, there will be a terrorist attack in this country by people who came here illegally. And when I check the letters to the editor, I will read one blaming Trump. I’ll be looking for it.
