While there are many quality candidates running for office in Murrysville this year, I would like to recommend the reelection of our council president, Dayne Dice.
I met Dice during my time on council. I was impressed with his ability to listen to all sides and to take differing viewpoints into consideration before making a decision. His thoughtful and professional demeanor help to keep discussions focused and respectful. His experience as a municipal lawyer also is a tremendous asset to council when trying to choose the best path forward.
Issues change with every election cycle. Frequently, proponents and opponents alike seek to frame these issues in short, simple terms. However, rarely are the key decisions impacting our community the most able to be addressed with such ease. We need leaders like Dice who will invest the time, effort and consideration necessary to understand the issues and develop the best solutions for the people of Murrysville.
