I feel utter disappointment for the writer of the letter “Republicans revenge impeachment” (Dec. 21, TribLive) and his obvious failure to grasp history and retain any knowledge from it.

He states that the GOP voted in unison for a “religious fraud.” Sounds like freedom of religion is something the writer has an issue with. He further stated that it chills him to think about another Donald Trump presidency and he “prays” for the health and longevity of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Sounds like only his prayers count.

He stated that the GOP embroils itself in culture wars. Does the writer ever read and think? Democrats’ entire campaign and political policies for the last 20 years seem to revolve around nothing but embroiling us in culture wars.

Finally, he states that “God forbid” Trump returns to the White House, and the frightening preview that it would cause. What preview is that, sir? No wars, inflation down to 2%, energy independence, a secure border? I would love to debate this prolific letter writer.
