Helen Sitler’s letter “Mariah Fisher ready to represent” (April 4, TribLIVE) makes it sound like Fisher likes to spend someone else’s money. What about creating actual good-paying jobs for us and for college graduates so we don’t need to leave the county or state for them? This is done by getting businesses to move here by reducing taxes and business regulations for them, not by creating more things to spend money on.

What does her opponent running for District 59 representative plan on doing? Hopefully, creating more jobs and cutting costs and taxes. Oh, and that is called being “responsible.”
