I tried to watch college and pro football on TV, and I was appalled at what I saw. A few years ago, I witnessed the NFL permit its employees to, in my opinion, disrespect the men and women who have fought and died for our country, our flag and their right to peacefully protest.

In the past, players had been fined for having symbols of awareness for worthy causes like breast cancer and domestic violence. Now they are permitted to put the names of criminals on their helmets without repercussions. I do not understand and will never accept this.

I will no longer be going to college or pro games or watching them on TV. I invite you to join my peaceful protest.
