Letter to the editor: Don't be afraid to question climate change claims

Tribune-Review

The writer of the letter “Vote out climate change deniers” (March, TribLIVE) says all climate change deniers must be voted out and that the Republicans are the problem because they get so much money from the fossil fuel companies.

First off, fossil fuels are never going away. Nothing else can power our country/economy. We need to be a leader in production of oil, coal and natural gas. An all-green-energy economy is not happening, period.

The writer implies that nobody should be allowed to question man-made climate change.

Every wildfire, hurricane, tornado, etc. must be climate change-related and can’t just be a naturally occurring event? The left puts up a front that says basically “all scientists agree it’s caused by man and therefore you can’t dare question it.”

We have every right to question it, and there are scientists who disagree with the political agenda of man-made climate change. And don’t forget that all redundant taxes, regulations (think Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative) will just be passed on to us.

Is it any wonder why every far-left politician and global elitist is all over this? If you subscribe to this nonsense, you are giving them the power to control/tax every aspect of your life, since everything we do has a carbon consequence.

Don’t be afraid to question this crap.
