This Saturday, Duquesne and Robert Morris renew their FCS Division 1 football rivalry with a noon kickoff at Rooney Field. If you are a college football fan, it doesn’t get much better than this, as both teams enter the contest undefeated in NEC conference play.

The winner of the mythical “Coach Dan McCann/Coach Joe Walton” Bowl will control their own destiny toward a first-round NCAA playoff berth and the conference championship. The game will feature high-caliber football as reflected by Duquesne’s win over Youngstown State and conference member St. Francis’ win over Kent State.

Coach Jerry Schmitt is the all-time wins leader at Duquesne, and Coach Bernard Clark is a former Eddie Robinson award finalist. Both coaches have won Coach of the Year in the NEC, and Duquesne’s QB1 Darius Perrantes is worth the price of admission. See you Saturday at Rooney!
