A public forum was held Sept. 19 at Hempfield Area High School regarding a new community park on Route 136 next to the high school. Attendees were asked whether they felt the community would support development of the park if it meant an increase in property taxes.

My husband, a veteran, died in 2017. This leaves me on a small, fixed income. Will I be able to continue to live, even thought I worked over 50 years and paid my taxes and supported the community completely?

Not right nor fair.
