Letter to the editor: Don’t stop for the far-left plot

Stop signs should be voluntary. Blind obedience to stop signs is a sign of weakness and a lack of fortitude. It is unacceptable and un-American for the government to force me to stop when I don’t want to.

I have perfectly good reasoning abilities and judgment. I don’t need the government to tell me what to do. Ninety-nine percent of the time I can cruise through an intersection without incident. And if someone happens to be coming across my path, well, he should be using his own judgment too. If he should run into me, I’ll have my gun with me and can settle things myself.

Stop signs are part of a far-left plot to subvert America. We should not be forgoing our personal freedoms so readily in the country in the name of safety. Don’t let stop signs be a step toward giving up our liberty. Give me freedom and give me death!
