Letter to the editor: Dziados will protect our health, freedoms
While the people of Western Pennsylvania suffer health effects from some of the worst air quality in the U.S., Rep. Guy Reschenthaler is taking aim at repealing the Clean Air Act and has called for cutting the entire EPA.
Western Pennsylvania has a high incidence of asthma and lung cancer. A recent study by the University of Pittsburgh showed children living near fracking sites have higher incidences of asthma and lymphoma.
Rather than taking action to help protect the health of the constituents of the 14th Congressional District, Reschenthaler seems to be more concerned about naming airports after Trump and elevating the MAGA agenda. We deserve better.
The 14th District houses the polluting Max Environmental Hazardous waste site along with countless fracking sites in Westmoreland and Washington counties. Our air quality needs to be protected.
On April 23 you can vote to improve our health and air quality. Vote for Chris Dziados for Congress for the 14th District. Dziados pledges to do more to protect our health and freedoms. He believes that proper regulations (like the Clean Air Act) and proper enforcement of those regulations are key to protecting the environment and our health and safety.
