As you meal prep this holiday season, please consider incorporating plant-based foods into your holiday menus.

Embracing a healthy, plant-based lifestyle promotes health, wellness and environmental awareness while also stimulating discussion around ethics, nutrition and food security. It’s also easy, fun and packed with countless delicious options.

This is a great time of year to explore plant-based meals when many of us cook more and ponder our new year’s resolutions. In an effort to build greater awareness about the benefits of veganism, the Pittsburgh Vegan Society (pavegan.org) will feature plant-based foods, products and recipes, as well as food security resources, on Facebook and Instagram this season.

We will give spotlight to many delicious options for the creative cooks and adventurous foodies as well as the pickier eaters among us. We challenge you to consider some vegan meals this holiday season and are readily available to be a resource for you if you need it.
