In science, there is something called “Occam’s razor,” a proposition which supposes that the simplest explanation for a phenomenon is usually the correct one.

So I ask: Which is more believable, that President Trump has told one more lie after 20,000 already documented, or that there is a massive conspiracy to steal the election from him, with thousands of election officials, governors, judges (many are Trump appointees), voting machine manufacturers and a dead dictator from Venezuela all in on it — and not a single one of them is talking?

Get real, folks! Who could possibly believe that? I shall abide with the former possibility.

Trump is a master salesman, and it is amazing to me how many people he has taken in. Most amazing is that so many of these people are the less affluent, whom Trump has harmed the most, while giving lavish welfare to the rich and corporations. As we speak, he is making one final desperate attempt to take away health care from millions of people. During a pandemic.

We have dodged a bullet by defeating this aspirational autocrat in a fair election. In my opinion, the vandalism Trump has perpetrated on our democracy and our country in his quest to further enrich the rich will be very difficult to repair, and he is doing his best to sabotage the next administration from doing so.

This has been a very dark four years, and I believe that if we had another four years of Trump, we would have had a dictatorship.
