Pennsylvania Sen. Kim Ward is creating fear about a problem that doesn’t exist. That is clearly the point of her op-ed, “A step toward election integrity in Pa.” (July 24, TribLIVE).

Voters are losing confidence in elections solely because of the Big Lie told by Republicans. The 2020 election was the most secure ever and has been extensively investigated over and over again — largely by Republican election officials.

The Pennsylvania GOP is now rebranding the Big Lie under the guise of “election integrity” and pushing a constitutional amendment and legislation to remedy a nonexistent problem. They aim to limit voting access in the process.

I urge voters not to be fooled by the Republican platform of unfounded fear and to vote for Democrats from the top of the ballot to the bottom on Nov. 8.
