The never-ending stream of anti- Trump letters continues even though he has been gone for six months. I believe this is a futile attempt by the President Biden voters to make Biden look good because they really can’t point to anything good that he has done. Donald Trump’s personality is terrible, but his policies were good, and policies always trump personality (pun intended).
In her letter “Ensuring character, integrity in positions of power” (July 22, TribLIVE), Katie Forsythe gives a long list of supposed Trump evils and then says that we should “make certain that never again will a person lacking in character and integrity be elected to a position of such power.” I have news for her — it already has happened.
Biden is anti-life, anti-family values, anti-religious freedom, anti-police and anti-election integrity. His recent statement that voter integrity laws (he calls them attacks on voting rights) are the biggest threat to democracy since the Civil War was extremely irresponsible. I have yet to see anybody explain why voter ID is a bad thing.
Biden’s economic policies already are having a negative effect. Companies can’t get workers because people can make more money sitting at home while drawing increased unemployment. Need I mention gasoline prices and border security? This self-proclaimed “devout Catholic” is pushing the most anti-Catholic policies of any president ever. He is making Trump look better every day.
