Letter to the editor: Family values vote is clear

Tribune-Review

A recent editorial (“Duquesne prof’s slur use was wrong choice,” Sept. 15, TribLIVE) explained that Black rappers’ use of the “N” word does not give whites license to use it. That editorial was as clear as mud. Do we now have a special dictionary for Black and white?

Joe Biden says if elected he can fix everything in our country. He has been in Washington for 47 years. What fixing has he done? I pay excessive taxes now, so why would I vote for a tax increase? No thanks, Joe.

I am a registered Democrat who votes for family values. Therefore, my choice in this election is clear. I am a military veteran who was able to serve prior to the destruction of Clinton and Obama, our two worst presidents, in my opinion.

I think President Trump is the best president in my lifetime, but I only go back to FDR. I know how I plan to vote and will do it in person instead of by mail, a system that was originally designed for absentee voters. I used absentee voting while in the military, and I’m sure many of my votes were never counted.

In closing, I will state that holding a sign saying Black Lives Matter doesn’t give you permission to rob stores, burn businesses, destroy vehicles and shoot cops. That is mob rule and no different than any other crime. Leaders that condone this activity should be removed from office.
