Letter to the editor: Faygo-nomics

Tribune-Review

As to what they now call Bidenomics, I refer to as Faygo-nomics.

At least until Jan. 20, 2025, I am relegated to drinking Faygo, RC Cola and whatever lesser brand carbonated swill that they concoct. Yep, never to pass my lips are the likes of Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper … nuh uh. Those cost too much.

What’s next? Are we going back to Joe Lapchick sneakers instead of Converse? Will there be a resurrection of Kmart and Blue Light Specials, the swarming hordes of shoppers clambering to be next in sharing some Chinese-made item of necessity?

Buckle up and wait your turn for the implementation of party line cellphones. Turn on that Apple iPhone and get used to expressing, “Hey, dude, wrap it up with your pusher dope buy … I got an important 911 call reporting that some illegal is relieving himself in my front hedges!”

Next, let’s tear down any statue commemorating the breech birth of this atrocity we call the United States of America.

Could we at least look back on what was before we permit the lunatics to run the asylum? You know, when Dwight D. was not a rapper but president of the United States ?
