Letter to the editor: Franklin Regional’s future deserves proven leaders

Tribune-Review

This November, Franklin Regional voters face a pivotal choice. As we elect four school board members, we have a rare opportunity to shape a board with diverse strengths and complementary expertise — leaders ready to move our district forward. The candidates who best fit this vision are Debra Wohlin, Bill Csaszar, Shannon Venditti and Kevin Kurmisky.

Wohlin has served multiple terms on the board and consistently puts students and families first. With advanced degrees in finance, business and public health — and as a longtime disability advocate — she combines expertise with compassion and the resolve to stand firm for Franklin Regional families.

Csaszar, a retired U.S. Army master sergeant with 34 years of service, now manages school building systems — HVAC, plumbing and structural operations. His leadership and technical know-how keep our facilities safe, efficient and cost-effective.

Venditti, a mother of four and longtime Murrysville resident, brings the perspective of younger families. As a small business owner and community coach, she exemplifies teamwork, perseverance and a commitment to preparing students for lifelong success.

Kurmisky, a Franklin Regional graduate and current board president, provides balance and continuity. With professional experience in strategic planning and fiscal management — and as a parent of three — he is deeply invested in our district’s success.

Together, Wohlin, Csaszar, Venditti and Kurmisky form the principled, collaborative team Franklin Regional needs — leaders who will support parents, promote fairness in athletics, and expand both academic and vocational opportunities for every student.

On Election Day, let’s secure Franklin Regional’s future by electing Wohlin, Csaszar, Venditti and Kevin Kurmisky to the school board.
