So here we are. A convicted felon will be our president. We will be led by billionaires and millionaires, an oligarchy. As if any of them know what it’s like to live this life without any of the struggles that those with less encounter. It’s all about power.

My father used to say, “Who checks the checkers?” Not sure, but with Donald Trump’s loyalist Cabinet picks, most of whom lack the experience needed for their positions, it will most likely be a free-for-all.

He talks about taking over Greenland, the Panama Canal and Canada, but what is he going to do about the things that he said he was going to do to help the American people, both Republicans and Democrats? I believe without a doubt that he will abuse the power of the presidency. If you think it can’t or won’t happen, I say, “let them see.” The warnings were there, and they came from the felon himself.

I will remain hopeful in those who remain resilient in defending our democracy and our freedoms.
