Pro-abortion Democrat Josh Shapiro has a sizeable campaign war chest, the power of incumbency and fawning media attention. So why is he running scared in his bid to be reelected governor of Pennsylvania?
To me, Shapiro’s fear is evident in the way he is attacking GOP gubernatorial candidate and current state Treasurer Stacy Garrity. He is accusing her of hiding her pro-life beliefs by removing references to the life issue from her website.
Please.
I don’t think Shapiro is worried that voters will mistakenly think that Garrity is “pro-choice.” I think what he is trying to do is to sow the seed of doubt in the minds of pro-life voters so they won’t turn out in November.
It’s a typical sleazy move by a politician known for bungling his handling of sexual harassment accusations against his administration.
Garrity, a military veteran, is a fighter — and she will fight to ensure that pregnant women will receive the support they need.
Shapiro is backed by PACs which support abortion up to the moment of birth. He also came out in favor of a recent Commonwealth Court ruling which would allow widespread taxpayer funding of abortion.
And don’t forget, Shapiro sued those rascals, the Little Sisters of the Poor, twice. Leave the Little Sisters alone!
The choice for governor is clear. A pro-abortion zealot who gets his kicks from slapping lawsuits against religious sisters or a distinguished woman who exercises common sense, integrity and compassion for pregnant women and their children.
Please remember in November!
