Thank you to all of the family and friends who joined us in dedicating the Canterna Gazebo at Loyalhanna Senior Suites on May 25. It was an overwhelming feeling to see so many attend this honor on behalf of our mother, Shirley Canterna. Our mom was a lifelong resident of Latrobe, and a well-loved teacher to many. The gazebo will be a pleasant place for Loyalhanna residents to sit and visit with family and friends. It will also be open to the public with events such as free concerts once a month.

Mom and Dad were involved in many areas of this community, so this is quite a tribute to our parents’ love of Latrobe. We also want to thank the staff at Loyalhanna Senior Suites, and especially Cheri Luttner and Karyn Zayac, for their relentless efforts to make the day special for all who attended. It was a wonderful day and a loving tribute to a special lady.
