We are voting for Michael Girardi for district judge.
Criminal activity has greatly increased over the past 20 years, so we need someone who knows, understands and can interpret the law on a day-to-day basis from the onset. The law has changed over the years and continues to do so; we need someone who can adjust consistently. Girardi, an honors graduate of Pitt’s law school, fits that bill with his legal experience and knowledge of the law.
He is involved in community service, works on local councils and is family oriented. These are all admirable qualities.
In this race, other topics, such as where a candidate went to school, seem to be in play for some odd reason. We don’t understand how this becomes a criteria for any elected position, let alone a district judge. This district encompasses Frazier and the Deer Lakes School District. We’re sure that residents will not withhold their vote from Girardi because he didn’t attend their schools.
In addition, it is not a court’s responsibility to provide a judge you know or like. Independence, fair judgment and knowledge of the law should be the criteria.
The only rationale and logical choice for district judge is Michael Girardi. That is why we are supporting him and hope you will, too.
