Michael Girardi’s legal education/experience and performance as a councilman make him an exceptional candidate for district magistrate. However, lost in the campaign is that he is a kind and caring person who is an advocate for the individual.

During 42 years on Cheswick Council, I have served with many fine people focused on community service, eight years with Girardi. He is at the top of my list regarding his caring approach in working for and with individuals, always treating each with respect and allowing them to maintain their dignity.

During meetings, as council president, Girardi treated residents with courtesy and respect no matter how heated the issue. He allowed the residents to speak and make their points. He used his excellent interpersonal skills to keep order while facilitating resolutions.

After meetings, he worked tirelessly to bring unresolved issues to closure. He was sensitive to the individual but never to the point of compromising what was right and in the best interest of the community.

Girardi’s commitment to community service, his respect for the individual and his excellent interpersonal skills should be considered along with all his other qualifications when voting for district magistrate.
