Where do we find God in times of despair, distress and disillusionment? Where do we find God when our prayers seem to fall on deaf ears? We find God in the people around us … our family, friends and even those strangers who share a shoulder to cry on, a smile to laugh with, a hand to hold. We find God in those who work to lift people up. If you’re wondering where God is, chances are she/he/they can be found in the person right next to you.

In the words of musician Bill Toms, “Sometimes I pause to question fate; Sometimes it walks right through my door; And when I least expect it, love is there for me.”

My friends, God is love. Simple as that. If you’re looking for God, all you need to do is love. Love your family. Love your friends. Love the stranger. Love your enemies! That’s where you’ll find God!
