Letter to the editor: GOP hypocrisy on documents

The hypocrisy of the GOP never fails to amaze me. Now they want to see visitor records for the White House and President Biden’s home in Delaware. And, horror of horrors, Hunter Biden stayed at the home in Delaware, so naturally he snooped through all 25 pieces of secret documents. It’s all Hunter, 24 hours a day.

Where was the outrage when it was discovered that President Trump had taken more than 30 boxes of documents to Mar-a-Lago and refused to return them to the National Archives? I’m not saying documents should have been in Biden’s possession. I’m saying there is no comparison to what Trump knowingly did. Biden’s people did the right thing as soon as the documents were discovered.

Is there any real work for the American people taking place in Washington? All I hear about is the revenge the GOP is taking now that they have the majority. I’m hoping there are enough good Republicans so that slim majority won’t matter. Let’s end this pettiness and work together to accomplish what they were elected to do. Work for the people who elected them.
