By now we all are familiar with Gov. Tom Wolf’s soft, reassuring words regarding the coronavirus and what we must do to stop it, to “protect lives.” On the surface his demeanor comes across as comforting. All the while elderly people were being isolated and dying in nursing homes, our state economy and schools were being shut down and mandated social distancing was being advocated. And we dare not go out without a mask.

Isn’t this the same governor who formerly escorted young women into Planned Parenthood clinics, probably softly whispering in their ears that everything would be all right while knowing full well that the business he was escorting them into is heralded as being the single largest provider of abortions in America?

This is the same governor who, knowing that nursing homes were breeding grounds for spreading this disease and knowing that the buck stops with him regarding state government, oversaw the state’s barbarically disastrous failure to protect the elderly in nursing homes.

This whole scenario sounds like it is right out of George Orwell’s “1984” and reminds me of the scene in the Garden of Eden when the serpent spoke softly into Eve’s ear. We all know how that story ended.
