With the cost of nearly everything escalating, why would anyone advocate for regulations that further complicate life for the average American? The Environmental Protection Agency’s proposal aiming to drastically increase electric vehicle sales by 2032 would do just that.

Electric vehicles are much more expensive than gas cars. The data from Kelley Blue Book at the end of 2022 shows the average price for an electric vehicle stood at $61,488, while the average cost for all passenger cars and trucks was closer to $49,500.

It’s crucial that we support American automotive and energy production by giving them adequate time to adapt to global changes while decreasing costs. Let the market advance transportation technology; government should not be mandating industry or consumer behavior.
