Leave it to our honorable governor to enact yet another innovative solution to help people. That is what Gov. Josh Shapiro has done in seeking to make it easier to hire federal workers who have found themselves innocent pawns in the Trump/Musk rampage of firings.

While Office of Management and Budget head Russell Vought says that federal workers should be seen as villains, that they should feel guilty about going to work … while Elon Musk gleefully celebrates the cruelty he has inflicted on tens of thousands by placing them and their families in financial and emotional turmoil, Shapiro is there to extend a helping hand.

Knowing what we do about our governor, we can feel confident that the federal workers the commonwealth is able to hire, individuals whom the Trump administration has treated like trash, will be valued, their employer grateful for their service.

Thank you, Gov. Shapiro, for providing a means for many who have lost their livelihood through no fault of their own to thrive.
