The Greensburg post office on Pennsylvania Avenue has posted notices on the collection boxes in front of the library that they will be removed on or about Nov. 15. The notice goes on to state the nearest collection box will be in the lobby of the post office.
These boxes are used heavily. Users include those with mobility issues, those who don’t have a quarter for the parking meters, assuming a space is available, and those folks in a hurry.
I urge the post office folks to reconsider this move.
There is a phone number on the notice, 724-837-4187, for comments. But I could not get through.
