Regarding the article “Greensburg considers ban on open burning to curb pollution” (Oct. 8, TribLive): Not only should open burning be banned, fire pits should be banned also. I don’t see any difference between the two. From spring until winter, I cannot open my windows due to the acrid smoke from every fire pit in my neighborhood. Some evenings there is so much smoke in the air it looks like there is a house on fire. Clean air for everyone.
