Letter to the editor: Harris is no moderate

We now know the Democrats’ presidential candidate, after they pushed the sitting president, and the only candidate to receive any primary votes, out of the race. Do we really know her?

The Kamala Harris campaign, with the help of the mainstream media, is trying to rewrite history and rebrand her as a moderate. She’s not, but is now, and always has been, a radical leftist, known as the most progressive member of the Senate during her tenure. She now wants you to believe she’s changed her views on multiple issues, including illegal immigration, fossil fuels, gun confiscation, defunding the police, etc.

Harris was appointed border czar by President Biden and oversaw the invasion of our nation. Her choice of far-left Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate over other qualified, moderate candidates proves to me that she hasn’t changed at all.

Our choice in this election is between more of the same failed policies we’ve endured for nearly four years, or a return to security, prosperity and respect around the world. Ask yourself, are you better off now than you were four years ago, and vote accordingly. This is much more than a personality contest.
