Regarding the letter “Harris telling lies” (Oct. 14, TribLive): The one assertion of the writer I agree with is “Be a good voter and check out both candidates’ statements and track records.”

About passing a national right to abortion law: If Congress passes it, Kamala Harris, if elected, will sign it. The Supreme Court may indeed overturn it, but that alone would not prevent a Democratic Congress from advancing the bill. It may well be unlikely, but lying she is not.

Indeed, $35 insulin is a good thing. It did take the IRA legislation to make it permanent, and her vote turned out to be the final word. The executive order was only a start.

Though you might disagree with the policies, she does factually have a plan to lower prices. I will defer to real economists on the merits.

On state abortion laws, it is obvious Trump’s Supreme Court nominees were the key to the implementation of said laws. No lie there.

We are aware Trump has disavowed Project 2025. The issue there is whether Trump is telling the truth. Aye, there’s the rub. You can decide, and I can decide.

Trump is not known for his veracity. I refer you to these letters to the editor: “Trump’s lies about hurricane aid dangerous” (Oct. 14, TribLive) and “Jan. 6 enough reason not to elect Trump” (Oct. 14, TribLive).

On the Big Lie, Trump has enlisted his henchman, JD Vance, to keep it going.

And about Haitians eating neighbors’ dogs and cats? Come on, give me a break!

I’m voting for Harris.
