Donald Trump is the presumptive GOP nominee for president for a third time despite the fact he’s twice impeached, four times criminally indicted, found to be liable for fraud and banned from doing business in New York for three years, about to go on trial for breaking campaign finance laws by paying hush money to a prostitute while his wife was pregnant, owes half a billion dollars in fines and can’t get a bond to pay it, took millions of dollars from foreign governments while in office, let a deadly disease spiral out of control and actively undermined the country’s response to it and orchestrated a monthlong coup attempt that culminated in a violent insurrection to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.

Also: stole classified documents and obstructed attempts to get them back, has never won the popular vote and has been routinely rejected by a majority of Americans in the past two elections, spews conspiracy theories on everything from climate change to immigration, vaccines and windmills, glitches on three-syllable words, cheats at golf and can’t spell his own name, his wife’s name or the words indicted, education, unprecedented, stolen, Denmark or Kentucky. And is, on top of everything else, to me, the single weirdest and most off-putting human being on the planet.
