Letter to the editor: If you want your vote to count, don’t vote for election deniers

I believe it is more important to vote this year than ever before. Our democracy is at stake. I watched the Jan. 6 coup attempt and am not ashamed to say I cried. People have become complacent about what happened that day. I know there are other factors like inflation, crime, etc., but nothing is more important than our freedom.

Listen to what the Republicans are saying. They are telling you exactly what they plan to do if they win the majority. Our Social Security, Medicare, etc., are at stake.

Dr. Oz is not the answer to anything. He’s just another white, privileged billionaire who can’t know much about the people of Pennsylvania. He holds citizenship in a country run by a dictator. If he truly believes in a democracy, he would have rejected his citizenship when Recep Tayyip Erdogan gained power.

Do most people even realize how many election deniers are running for the office that can affect elections? If they don’t like the outcome, they will be able to overturn it.

I want my vote to count. Don’t you? Please think of all these things when you are voting.
