While I appreciate that the Tribune-Review accepts divergent opinions, I believe Frank A. Novotony Jr.’s letter comparing the impeachment to the crucifixion (“Impeachment like crucifixion,” Dec. 18, TribLIVE) goes beyond the pale, and especially during the Holy Season is blasphemous.
Unlike Jesus, President Trump was not tortured, beaten and put to death on a cross. Maybe we should change Christmas to Trumpmas?
Some may debate if Trump deserves the same ultimate fate as Jesus, but no right-minded person could argue that Trump deserves to be compared to Jesus.
