Lawfare is when government officials use their powers as a weapon against their adversaries with the intent of politically neutralizing them. The most famous lawfare cases were perpetrated by Democrats disguised as Klu Klux Klan members in the post-Civil War South who used it on former Black slaves. The legal methods were generally referred to as Jim Crow justice. Today’s versions of legal and judicial abuses by the Democratic Party can be appropriately called Jim Crow 2.0 in their attacks on conservative opponents.

Two district attorneys, the New York attorney general and the U.S. attorney general, Democrats all, indicted former President Trump on 94 charges which could disqualify him from becoming president again.

The damage to our republic’s rule of law with liberty and justice for all is not yet fully appreciated, but once the Pandora’s Box is opened, it is next to impossible to close it again. I fear that we are entering a new type of civil war where lawfare becomes the weapon of choice.
