I hope you remember that President Trump, in his flurry of efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, attempted to disenfranchise the entire commonwealth of Pennsylvania “because some counties contacted and permitted voters to fix mistakes with their mail-in ballot declarations while others did not.” Fortunately, Judge Matthew Brann rejected this argument, saying, “(T)his Court has been presented with strained legal arguments without merit (and) … unsupported by evidence. In the United States of America, this cannot justify the disenfranchisement of a single voter, let alone all the voters of its sixth most populated state.”
This brings me to the question: Is the immigration crackdown in Minnesota just a tactic for leverage to rig the 2026 midterms? On Jan. 24, the same day that an ICE officer killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, Attorney General Pam Bondi sent a letter — some call it a ransom note — to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz stating that, if he wanted to “bring an end to the chaos in Minnesota,” he should comply with some “common sense solutions,” one of which required that he give the administration unfettered access to sensitive personal information like voters’ Social Security numbers, driver’s license data and party affiliations. In addition to Minnesota, the DOJ demanded voter records from D.C. and 11 other blue states or states President Biden won in 2020 that Trump only narrowly won in 2024 — including Pennsylvania.
My fellow Americans, I beg you to remember Jan. 6, 2021, and not to allow our democracy to be attacked again by this unprincipled felon.
