Give credit to letter-writer Lynne Hughes (“Republicans just want their guns,” June 7, TribLIVE), because it takes courage for a person to say, “I am a registered Republican who votes Democrat,” aka RINO.

That said, Hughes made an asinine statement saying that the Republican Party will “sacrifice every single child in America before they give up their guns.” It is Democrats who believe in child sacrifice, aka abortion. In ancient days, child sacrifice was on the altar of Moloch, and the child had no say in the murder. Today, the child still has no say, and the destruction of life happens a little earlier, but the results are still the same. Tens of millions of future Americans have already been slain in the last 50 years in a sacrifice that has been called “The Silent Scream.”
