Regarding Carol Carion’s letter “Where were calls for togetherness during Trump’s term?” (Dec. 1, TribLIVE): I am a Korean War veteran and staunch Democrat who voted for President Trump in 2016 to “clean up the political swamp.” Since he won, he was my president, and I supported him. Unfortunately, there are too many Ds and Rs who have a very biased opinion of politicians who have a D or R after their names.

Now that we have a Democrat as president, there are too many who are too eager to criticize. How about extending your hand in cooperation and working together as Americans? Unfortunately, there are people who are unable to accept what the American people and their vote have endorsed (and not fraudulently) and are too narrow in their thinking about what an American should be.

God bless America!
