Letter to the editor: Junk mail, grocery prices, liars — we’re in critical condition

I used to be upset by junk mail. Well, I still am, but how about everyone expecting the consumer to have a computer or cellphone and have an app for every store to find prices or location of stock?

How about people begging on the street with help wanted signs all around them? And people with carts loaded to overflowing and paying with Access cards?

Grocery prices that get higher almost every week? When will this end? Face it, folks, our country is in critical condition. We are on the verge of collapse and put there by ourselves. You don’t have to be a Christian to realize that Christian concepts are necessary. Those who don’t/won’t work don’t eat. That does not include “can’t work.” Do unto others is just common sense, as is don’t cheat, lie or steal!

Stealing has many different forms. People who get paid for a day’s work but don’t get the job done … politicians for example. And there are many more.

By the way, I should tell you that I won $3½ million, plus $7,000 a week and a Mercedes just the other day, notified by telephone. At least that person was an obvious liar. I don’t know what I had to do to collect this because I hung up. I’m too old to win anyway!
