What is the big deal about wearing a mask when you are out in public? No one is asking you to storm the beaches of Normandy, or fight in southeast Asia or the Middle East. All that is being asked of you is to wear a mask in public because research has shown it stops the transmission rate up to 75%.

And while the people in nursing homes are dying the most, just remember the caregivers in those nursing homes have to go to grocery stores and other essential places as well as going to work. Medical personnel, grocery store and restaurant workers are all being infected.

Can’t you help protect these people if you are one of the asymptomatic carriers? Just remind yourself your teeth aren’t that pretty, your breath isn’t always great and facial hair is not what makes you desirable, so please just wear a mask in public (and wash your hands).

It is only a slight inconvenience, and you just might save someone’s life.
