Letter to the editor: Karaica best candidate for judge

Tribune-Review

Thankfully, my decision for magisterial district judge in Cheswick, Frazer, Harmar and Springdale is an easy one. I have known Mitchell Karaica all of his life, as he grew up going to school with my daughters. He has always had the character of being fair and compassionate, with a big heart for the community. Now he has the qualifications, having passed the certifying course and exam offered by Pennsylvania’s Minor Judiciary Education Board over the summer.

While Karaica’s background might appear untraditional, his service as a union representative for 20-plus years has provided him with significant firsthand experience in interpretation, attentive listening and proactive problem solving. These transferable skills and experience would be of great benefit to him in this role.

He knows and loves our community and bears the qualifications and skill sets that one would need to be successful as an judge. Not only am I proud to know Mitchell Karaica, but I am proud to be able to vote for him. Being born and raised here and knowing the traits and challenges of our community makes him the best candidate for me. He will do right by us, and I hope that you will, too, by counting on Karaica this November.
