I appreciate all that Commissioner Doug Chew is doing for the overall well-being of people in Westmoreland County. I shout his praises any time his name is mentioned. In my 20-plus years working in the mental health field, he has been more present and involved than any other elected official. He participates in a statewide task force to understand the mental health system, and regularly attends meetings for Westmoreland County groups to understand his constituents’ needs more.
If you are concerned about mental health, suicide or substance use, I recommend a vote for Chew on May 16.
