I am writing to endorse Judge Cheryl Peck Yakopec for reelection as district judge. I have known Peck Yakopec for 30 years. She has been our local judge and an active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas in Vandergrift.

As a judge, Peck Yakopec has always been available and very helpful to everyone she meets. I have asked her many questions about different issues, and she is always willing to give good advice and information to help resolve an issue. If she doesn’t know, she refers me to the proper agency I need to speak with for a resolution.

She doesn’t only sit in her courtroom dispensing justice, she also attends public events on a daily basis, talking with people and listening to their problems and concerns. She has helped with the Festa Italiano di Vandergrift, Gathering on Grant events and Vandergrift street projects. She helps supervise the kids and pitches in to do the work. She is here for us, and she tries to help in any way she can.

Why would we want to vote for a person with no experience as a judge when we have a judge who cares about the people and has the experience and wisdom to continue working for the betterment of our community?

I vote for Cheryl Peck Yakopec.
