Letter-writer John Bentz’s “Wolf’s decisions hurt Pa.” (July 29, TribLIVE) states that “Wolf sees no reason to further limit Kennywood Park.” Kennywood is an outdoor space. Among its covid-19 precautions were limiting the number of guests per day, requiring reservations, taking temperatures of guests before allowing them to enter and requiring masks. The park even has a “mask patrol.” Hand sanitizer dispensers are everywhere. Many rides are not open, and the ones that are have distancing and are sanitized frequently. Riders must sanitize their hands before entering a ride. The pavilions are closed, eliminating group gatherings. There is no liquor served there. Guests can remove masks only to eat or drink. People don’t linger to socialize. They eat, ride and leave. All the places Bentz mentions are indoors, not under the scrutiny Kennywood is.

We have been isolated at home for so long and are still under mandates. Kennywood has brought us a feeling of some normalcy in this ever-changing world
