Letter to the editor: Kudos to grandparents who step in

As we live cautiously in these uncertain times, I would like to say thank you to all the grandparents who are taking the time to educate their grandchildren.

I know I’m not the only person in a position to “care for” and “see to it” that my grandchildren continue their education in an online environment. It is not easy to sit down with children who are 40 years younger than you to make sure their homework is completed and, most importantly, correct.

Although it has been an eye- opening experience, I would not have it any other way. My grandchildren and I never have been closer than we are now. It can be frustrating at times, but it makes me feel good that my grandchildren know, without a doubt, that they can count on their “Pap.”

A lot of good can come from the depressing period we are living through.
