Letter to the editor: Kudos to Manor Elks Lodge
As a veteran of the Vietnam War, I would like to give thanks and a shout-out for a job well done to Elks Lodge 2313 in Manor for its work of aiding veterans in need. Lodge members perform many acts of kindness to area veterans. They host a free luncheon every Veterans Day for all veterans.
The funds they raise come from donations and member dues, as well as the many events they host for members and the public. They donate to veterans and other charities, both locally and nationally. Their events include bingo on Tuesdays and one of the largest car shows in the area every Father’s Day. Elks Lodge 2313 has an open-door policy for folks wanting an outstanding dining experience.
As a lodge member, I encourage you to call and inquire about how you can become a member and aid our veterans and other charities. You will be happy if you do. They are great and friendly people who treat you with respect and kindness.
