Once again, Freeport Area High School students have excelled at entertaining and enriching us through their lively, accomplished and enjoyable presentation of “9 to 5: The Musical.” The singing was remarkable, the acting flirtatious and fun, and the costumes so authentic. The students and staff are to be commended for their work and creativity.

It is so important to keep drama, music and dance alive in our communities. Small schools like Mary Queen of Apostles School in New Kensington are also introducing the love of performance to our youngest generations. Great work! And don’t miss the “Winter Dreams” concert Dec. 7 at Central Presbyterian Church in Tarentum.

Sports are great, but music and great theater can last a lifetime.
