Letter to the editor: Kudos to students volunteers, Habitat for Humanity
I was so encouraged to read the front-page article about college students spending their spring break volunteering (“Pitt-Greensburg students build bonds, outfit Tennessee homes on Habitat for Humanity trip,” March 22, TribLIVE). These students are to be commended for their unselfish giving of their time. Their experience, I’m sure, has helped to develop their character even more, as well as helping to build up the Habitat homeowners.
Habitat for Humanity is truly a blessing. They give low-income families the help they need, plus financial education to budget for and pay for an affordable mortgage and allow them to use their skills to work alongside volunteers in building their homes.
Please consider donating to Habitat for Humanity, as I have, to help build better communities.
